Wanted: Senior Developer - not just another coding job. Real ownership. Real impact.
Are you driven by building clean, scalable systems that solve real operational problems? Do you thrive on taking ownership - from understanding workflows through to delivering production systems? Would you like to work directly with clients and shape how real businesses operate?
If so, Thirdsound ICT is looking for you.
We are building a next-generation digital operations platform for a large UK food producer supplying major supermarkets including Tesco and M&S - replacing manual, paper-based workflows with a scalable, cloud-based system.
This system will form the foundation of a broader platform we intend to enhance and develop over the long term, building on real-world operational requirements.
This includes:
Order intake and load planning
Pallet tracking and scanning
Real-time operational dashboards
Integration with external systems (EDI, ASN, retail platforms)
This is not a narrow dev role. You will work alongside the Founder (solution architect) and a domain specialist to design and build the system end-to-end.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing and delivering software aligned to real business operations, including:Translating complex workflows into scalable system designs
Building full-stack applications and integrations
Developing a cloud-based platform (Azure) with real-time data flows
Working directly with stakeholders to refine and improve the solution
Owning delivery across all phases: analysis -> design -> build -> rollout
This role requires independent thinking, strong communication, and precise execution.
A Successful Candidate Must Have
High integrity, reliability, and quality of work
Strong problem-solving ability and systems thinking
Proven experience delivering production-grade software systems
Ability to design systems, not just implement tickets
Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
A hands-on, ownership mindset
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Curiosity and drive to continuously improve
Willingness to take responsibility end-to-end
